Bluecoat Aspley Academy is a highly successful, heavily over-subscribed, Church of England Academy in the heart of Nottingham, with Bluecoat itself being associated with more than 300 years of proud history in the city. At Bluecoat Aspley Academy, we have more than 950 children in Year 7 through to Year 11. With over 1000 applications every year for year 7 intake. We are over-subscribed in every year group.
How do I make an appeal for Bluecoat Aspley Academy?
Appeals must be be submitted in writing to the academy F.A.O Independent Appeals Panel Clerk. An appeal can be in the form of an email, letter or completed ‘BAA Appeal against refusal to admit’ form available under the Year 7 Intake Documents and Forms section to the right. Details in the appeal must include; child’s name, date of birth, gender, full address as well as parent/carers name, relationship to child, contact number and email address. When does an appeal for Year 7 Intake September 2021 have to be in by?
The decision letter you received from the local authority will give a deadline for lodging the appeal. Temporary regulations in place to support appeals during the Covid 19 pandemic have extended the deadline for submitting appeals from 20 to 28 days. The deadline for submitting appeals for Year 7 September 2021 intake is Monday 29th March 2021. If you have passed this deadline, your appeal will still be heard however this may cause delays and may not be heard at the same time as the appeals submitted on-time.
