Students Celebrate GCSE Success at Bluecoat Aspley Academy
Students at Bluecoat Aspley are celebrating their GCSE results today, with achievements reflecting their hard work, resilience and determination throughout their studies.
These results reflect more than academic achievement. At Bluecoat Aspley Academy, our values of Faith, Hope, Family and Respect are at the heart of everything we do. We believe that every young person is uniquely valued and capable of success, and today’s achievements are a testament to the determination of our students, the dedication of our staff and the unwavering support of families. The outcomes being celebrated today demonstrate not only what our students have achieved academically, but also the character, resilience and ambition they have developed during their time at the Academy.
Principal Sarah Anderson said:
“Today is a day of celebration for our students and their families. We are incredibly proud of all they have achieved and the perseverance they have shown throughout their journey at Bluecoat Aspley Academy.
Our values of Faith, Hope, Family and Respect underpin everything we do. Faith gives us confidence in the potential of every young person, Hope inspires our students to pursue ambitious futures, Love encourages us to care for and support one another, and Family reminds us that we achieve most when we work together. These values have helped shape the achievements we celebrate today.
We are delighted to see our students progressing on to a wide range of exciting destinations, including Bluecoat Sixth form, colleges, apprenticeships and specialist training programmes. We know they will continue to make a positive contribution to their communities and wish them every success in the future.”
Riduan Hossain achieved 3 grade 7s, 4 grade 8s, 3 grade 9s.
Studying Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths at BAA.
“I think people get too nervous about this when they should just go for it. Worrying wasn’t going to get me extra marks. My religion has had a huge impact. Serenity of mind has got me through. That’s why I’ve done as well as I have.”
Ibrahim Sageer achieved 5 grade 8s, 4 grade 9s and 2 grade 7s.
Studying History, Sociology, Politics and Maths at Bluecoat Sixth Form

Nessiea Wright achieved 1 grade 6, 2 grade 7s, 4 grade 8s, 1 grade 9 and 2 Merit 2s.
Studying at Bilborough – Criminology, Psychology, English Literature.

Ayana Sen-Handley achieved 10 grade 9s, 1 grade 8.

Studying A Level Psychology, Sociology and Business Studies at Bluecoat Sixth Form.

The results reflect the school’s continued focus on delivering a broad and ambitious curriculum that equips students with the knowledge, skills and character needed to succeed in education and beyond.
As students collect their results today, staff are on hand to provide guidance and support regarding post-16 choices, ensuring every young person is able to access the pathway that best meets their aspirations and talents.
