Every five years the Church of England inspect their schools and academies. In May 2016 Bluecoat Academy (Aspley Lane and Wollaton Park Campuses) had their Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) inspection. We are delighted to announce that in all four categories of the inspection we were graded “outstanding”. A copy of the SIAMS report can be viewed below:
We are thrilled that, once again, Bluecoat have achieved an ‘outstanding’ report which reflects the hard work and commitment of a whole team of staff working together with students and parents. We are extremely grateful to the parents who came in to help with this inspection. Our Christian Distinctiveness Co-ordinator, working with our youth workers and the support of Governors, all made this outcome possible.
It is an opportunity to genuinely celebrate the great faith centred work that takes place daily at Bluecoat Academy. We are especially thankful to our friends at St Margaret’s Church who give up so much time to help with services and support our community of learners led by Revd Hutchinson who works tirelessly both as a Governor and church leader to fulfil our mission to be a distinctively Christian Academy.
